Andrei Constantinescu

Senior Researcher

Based in Zurich, Andrei is a researcher with a background in algorithms, working on distributed systems, protocol design, and mechanism design. Before joining Category Labs, he did his Ph.D. at ETH Zürich, advised by Prof. Roger Wattenhofer in the Distributed Computing group, with research spanning topics such as Byzantine fault-tolerant consensus and the interplay between distributed computing and game theory. Prior to ETH, he completed his Master's at the University of Oxford, and most recently he was a Research Scientist at the DFINITY Foundation. When he's not thinking about protocols and incentives, you'll likely find him on the slopes.
